Network Ireland West Cork held its August event titled ‘For the Love of West Cork’ recently in Glebe Gardens, Baltimore, Co Cork.  Guest speakers were Sean O’Driscoll, Businessman and Helen Collins, Chair of A Taste of West Cork Food Festival and Managing Partner at Wolfe & Co. Solicitors.  The event was moderated by Gráinne McCarthy, Deputy Chief News Editor at The Wall Street Journal and attended by businesswomen from Cork city and county.

Speaking at the event, Sean O’Driscoll said: “Successful countries are built, not just on their large cities but also on vibrant rural communities.  In Ireland, West Cork is one of those communities. Incredible scenery, amazing food, an exceptional quality of life and above all its phenomenal people who bring it all together.  A wonderful part of the world in which we live.”

Speaking about A Taste of West Cork, Helen Collins said: “A Taste of West Cork is more than the sum of its parts in terms of unifying people – it has created the West Cork brand.  We are developing our partnerships with our major events in West Cork. Food is a great enticer and creator of relationships.”

Ciara Byrne, President of Network Ireland West Cork said: “Network Ireland West Cork has had the privilege of hosting many strong, driven and inspiring people, all of whom have had in common their love of and belief in West Cork as an excellent place to work and live. We are delighted to host an evening of food, music and networking with two inspirational West Cork natives – Sean O’Driscoll and Helen Collins – who have done much through both their businesses and philanthropic efforts to build the profile of the area. Their dedication has seen West Cork benefit in many ways by bringing people, investment and culture here.”
